Symphony Industrial AI Helps Novelis Enhance Asset Reliability with
APM 360™ Solution
Woburn, MA, and Atlanta – Nov 10, 2022 – SymphonyAI Industrial, a SymphonyAI vertical,
announced today that aluminum producer Novelis has selected APM 360 for a phased multiplant
rollout that will help improve asset performance, which will in turn support plant
operations and output. The APM 360 asset predictive maintenance solution monitors overall
machine health with real-time prescriptive monitoring and predictive maintenance for critical
plant equipment such as compressors, pumps, and gearboxes. It uses IIoT, AI, FMEA (failure
mode and effects analysis), and physics to provide anomaly detection with automated cause
analysis and advisories. This combination of capabilities identifies complex, dynamic
machinery patterns that ensure critical manufacturing machinery operates at its peak.
“Through our partnership with SymphonyAI Industrial, we are building the maintenance
program of the future,” said Luiz Frazao, senior manager of global reliability for Novelis. “With
their solutions, we expect to reduce unplanned downtime and improve the reliability of our
most critical assets.”
“We are delighted to expand our relationship with Novelis, which started over a decade ago,
to now include our AI and FMEA-based asset health solution,” said Dominic Gallello, CEO of
SymphonyAI Industrial. “The combination of our third-generation machine reasoning-based AI
capabilities and deep engineering talent density to deliver a successful implementation is our
formula for user and customer success.”
