Symphony GOLD, provider of the GOLD unified software platform for retail, today announced that Russian retailer SPAR TULA has selected the GOLD Space and Category Management suite to improve merchandising across its stores. Symphony GOLD partnered with MRB-Vostok, a Moscow-based consulting firm specializing in category management and space optimization for retailers and FMCG manufacturers, on the GOLD solution at SPAR TULA.
With 51 grocery stores in Tula and the Tula region as well as Ryazan, Kaluga and Lobnya towns of Russia, SPAR TULA is one of the TOP-100 retailers in Russia and one of the largest regional franchisers of SPAR in Russia. After engaging with MRB-Vostok category specialists, SPAR TULA selected the GOLD Space and Category Management solutions as they were intuitive and facilitated collaboration between head office and stores.
MRB-Vostok ran an assisted pilot for Space Planning with continuous support and consulting. This gave SPAR TULA the opportunity to work with the software leveraging their own data and be confident in the selection of the overall solution. Ultimately, SPAR TULA selected the GOLD Space and Category Management suite in order to:
- Create planograms that optimize both shelf and store space,
- Enable two-way collaboration between headquarters and stores to ensure planogram relevance
- Empower stores to provide a better shopping experience to their customers.
“With the GOLD Space and Category Management solutions, SPAR TULA has a centralized platform that will control all planograms, macro space and merchandising data,” said Matt Robinson, market development director, Symphony GOLD. “Overall, GOLD will enable SPAR TULA to merchandise more effectively and facilitate two-way communication with stores, which will result in more efficient and accurate retail execution.”
“MRB-Vostok is very proud to have SPAR TULA, one of the TOP-100 Russian retailers, as a client,” said Natalia Ermolova, general manager, MRB-Vostok. “Their choice to implement GOLD for space optimization could be easily rolled out to other SPAR franchises across the territory.”
