Gallello will speak in a keynote session entitled “AI for Predictive Maintenance and Yield Optimization – Real World Examples” on March 8, and on a panel, “How Artificial Intelligence will unlock the future,” on March 9.
Today in most cases, firms do not use most of the industrial data they collect. That’s unfortunate since this data could be used to avoid costly downtime when equipment fails or underperforms. When AI predictive analytics are applied to industrial sensor data, companies can improve uptime, performance, and efficiency. Firms can control costs through predictive maintenance for industrial equipment and yield optimization to identify variables that can be tuned to improve yield.
Dominic Gallello, CEO of Symphony Industrial AI and IndustrialAI, said: “The rapid advances in computing, sensor technologies, cloud and IoT generate more data than ever before. Industrial companies need advanced software tools and predictive analytics in the form of AI and machine learning to create meaningful business outcomes. Our Industrial AI platform consumes real-time industrial data streams and—with edge- or cloud-based analytics—predicts critical failures, detects anomalies, drives asset efficiencies, and optimizes production yields. I look forward to sharing our successes at this event.”
Gallello will present two production use cases. The first is predictive maintenance for a large multi-stage centrifugal compressor asset, using vibration and process data provide early detection of faults. The second is improved ammonia production in petrochemical plants, showcasing how AI and a digital twin work with existing advanced process control systems to deliver higher production yields.
