DALLAS – May 21, 2020 – SymphonyAI, the leading global provider of AI-enabled retail solutions and customer-centric insights for retailers and CPG manufacturers across the entire value chain, announced that Germany-based hypermarket retailer, Globus SB Warenhaus, has seen a 600% increase in use of its Click and Go service in the Czech Republic in the last three months. This service is executed via SymphonyAI’s Click and Collect, part Order Fulfillment, which leverages replenishment and inventory supporting omni-channel fulfillment execution for all retail commerce models.
Globus operates more than 70 hypermarkets across Germany, the Czech Republic and Russia. In addition to its broad footprint of hypermarkets, it also has retail outlets in DIY and consumer electronics.
In 2018, Globus SB Warenhaus chose SymphonyAI’s Click and Collect solution to manage fulfillment for its new service – Click and Go. Since then, the system has been instrumental in handling Globus’ 30% increase in online ordering in its Czech Republic stores. However, in the last three months, with the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, this system has seen a 600% increase in order volume, meeting the skyrocketing demand for online grocery shopping services.
“When we implemented SymphonyAI’s Order Fulfillment back in 2018, we never could have guessed that it would need to be so agile as to handle the massive volume of orders it’s dealing with currently,” said Ondrej Dvorak, head of e-commerce, Globus, Czech operations. “We had hoped to grow this service, and we did, but seeing this system rise to the challenge of demand for online grocery currently is truly remarkable.”
“It may seem obvious to say, but the reason we love working with our customers is getting to see their success in reaching their goals,” said Graeme Cooksley, President, Chief Operating and Revenue Officer, SymphonyAI. ”What’s happening right now, not only for Globus, but for so many retailers around the world, is a true test for FMCG solution providers, their solutions, and their retailer partnerships.”
Globus is currently considering the rollout of its Click and Go service across 15 additional sites.
